The admission process for MSc courses at Jai Hind College and Somaiya Vidyavihar University is almost the same for both of the institutes. For admission, the institutes release the merit of selected students on the basis of their scores achieved in their BSc degrees. Moreover, there is one major difference between both of the institutes, i.e., Jai Hind College accepts the scores of some entrance examinations for admissions to some of the MSc specialisations. However, SVU Mumbai only offers admissions to MSc courses based on merit.

The total tuition fee for MSc courses at Somaiya Vidyavihar University ranges from INR 1 Lacs to INR 3.1 lakh. On the other hand, the total tuition fee for MSc courses at Mithibai College ranges from INR 48,800 to INR 2.2 lakh. Hence, it can clearly be seen that Mithibai College is more affordable than Somaiya Vidyavihar University for MSc courses.
