Somaiaya Vidyavihar University follows the fee refund policy for MSc courses according to the University Grants Commission. Students should be allowed a full refund of fees within a specified period to enable them to opt for a course of their choice. As per the official website of Somaiya Vidyavihar University, the notification regarding MSc programme details for the academic year 2025-2026 has been released. According to the update, the MSc classes for the new session will commence on July 14, 2025.

The selection criteria for admissions to MSc courses at Somaiya Vidyavihar University is based on candidates' achieved scores in their graduation- BSc/ BE/ BTech degree. Moreover, applicants will be considered eligible for Interim Admission if they have successfully completed their semester fifth final examination with no pending KTs. The selection criteria will be based on the merit of the semester's fifth final result scores.

Yes, Somaiya Vidyavihar University does offer MA courses for the duration of two years. Further, divided into four semesters. The university also offers BSc + MSc courses for the duration of five years. SVU Mumbai provides various specialisations, such as an MSc in Statistics, an MSc in Mathematics, an MSc in Biotechnology, and others.

No, CUET is not the only entrance examination that Somaiya Vidyavihar University considers for admissions to MA courses. The university also accepts the scores of other entrance examinations, i.e., SVU ET. However, the acceptance of entrance examination scores differs according to the BA specialsiation selected by the students.
