In general, Somaiya Vidyavihar performs better than DPGU with respect to placements for MBA students. Somaiya has more seniority, better access to industry contacts, and is more consistently recruiting from higher tier firms. Also, being located in Mumbai gives all the students access to higher opportunities for corporate exposure and internships. DPGU is still new and in development stages, so their placement record remains in development as well. They do get companies like Wipro and TCS to campus, but Somaiya is seeing more consistent roles and at higher package earners. • A graduate in any discipline from a recognised university is eligible to take admission to the first semester of the programme.
• Candidates with a Bachelor's degree, a Diploma/ Certificate course in Library & Information Science, and working experience of five years are eligible to take admission to the first semester of the programme.
• Candidates who have graduated with a BLISc degree or completed the second semester of MLISc from a recognised institute are eligible to take admission to the third semester of the programme.

Somaiya Vidyavihar admission 2025 for BTech is online application based, for consideration of admission the candidate should go through with the application process. The steps for the application process is as follows:

Step 1: Candidates (pursuing HSC 2025 /completed HSC in 2024 or before) willing to pursue B.Tech degree can submit the online preadmission form available on college Admission website with payment of non-refundable/ non-transferable application fees INR 2000. 

Step 2: Admission process will be carried out in different rounds based on different entrance examinations: SAT 2024/2025/ JEE Main Session  2025 /PERA-CET 2025/ MHT-CET 2025/CUET 2025. Visit important dates section on college website for schedule of rounds.

Step 3: Candidates can apply any one or more than one rounds within the same pre-application based entrance examinations using the login credentials (registered email and password).

Step 4: A provisional seat offered or not offered (based on the merit, programme preference and availability of seats taken together) will be communicated via registered email.
