As things stand, Somaiya Vidyavihar University has not given out the cutoff points for the B.Sc. in Computer Science program in the 2025 academic year. Admissions mostly depend on merit and how a candidate scores in Class 12 exams is considered the main factor. Most applicants need to have at least 50% in their 10+2 exams and a science background.

Candidates willing to take admission at Department of Library and Information Science (DLIS) for Certificate courses must present the documents as specified by the department at the time of admission. The admission is finalised only after the specified documents are physically verified by the department. Failing to submit the required documents within the stipulated time leads to the cancellation of provisonal admission. Listed below are the documents required during the admission process:

• Class 10 Mark sheet & Passing Certificate (Board Certificate)
• Class 12 Mark sheet & Passing Certificate (Board Certificate)
• First Year, Second Year & Third Year Mark sheet (for CTL)
• Any valid address and date of birth proof; Aadhar Card
• Marriage Certificate or Affidavit for married female candidate (for change in name)
• Passport size photograph

The Department of Library and Information Science Certificate application process can be completed online. Candidates willing to pursue one of the Certificate courses offered by DLIS must check if they are eligible as per the eligibility criteria set by the department. Eligible candidates can follow the steps given below to complete the application process:

1. Visit the official admission portal of Somaiya Vidyavihar University (SVU).
2. Click on 'Register' and fill out the registration form.
3. Log in to fill out the pre-admission form with all the required details.
4. Submit a non-refundable application fee of INR 250 through the online payment gateway.

Department of Library and Information Science (DLIS), Somaiya Vidyavihar University, has specified the criteria for admission to its Certificate courses. The criteria include the eligibility requirements and the selection criteria. Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria specified by the department for their chosen specialisation are considered for selection. The selection for admission is based on the applicants' merit in the qualifying exam and the availability of seats. Selected candidates are also required to undergo a document verification process before final admission. Hence, getting direct admission to the Certificate programmes of DLIS, SVU, may not be possible.
