Students holding F-1 visas cannot engage in off-campus employment without specific authorization from the Department of Homeland Security. However, they are allowed to work on campus for up to 20 hours per week when classes are in session and up to 40 hours per week during school breaks and holidays. It's important to note that the availability of on-campus jobs is not guaranteed, as there may be more students seeking employment than there are available positions. Therefore, students are responsible for actively searching for on-campus job opportunities. After arriving at SAU, students are encouraged to inquire with the Career Services office about job vacancies.

Below are the list of Visas avialable for international students at SAU:

F-1 Visa: For full-time academic or language students, the F-1 visa is the most popular form of student visa. You must be enrolled in a full-time programme at an authorized U.S. educational institution, such as SAU, to get an F-1 visa.

J-1 Visa: The J-1 visa is intended for exchange travelers, such as students enrolled in approved exchange programs. SAU may have exchange agreements with other colleges or institutions, and students who participate in these programs may be eligible for J-1 visas.

M-1 Visa: Students studying vocational or non-academic studies are eligible for the M-1 visa. It is less frequent in higher education, but it may apply to some vocational or technical programs at SAU.

For other international students, the English language requirement of SAU will be met when the applicant has submitted proof of ONE of the following:

• A score of 500 or higher on the written TOEFL
• A score of 173 or higher on the computerized TOEFL
• A score of 61 or higher on the internet-based TOEFL
• A score of Band 5.5  (overall) on the IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
• A score of 43 or higher on PTE (Pearson Test of English)
• A score of 90 or higher on Duolingo
• Completion of Level 109 at an ELS Language Center or its equivalent
• Completion of EF Level 4
• *A score of 410 on the SAT Verbal or *a score of 19 on the ACT English
