At the undergraduate and graduate levels, candidates can pursue a degree in sports management. The fundamental requirements for both levels of courses are listed below:
- UG Courses: Candidates must have earned an overall grade point average of 45 to 55% in Class 12 in any stream. Physical education is another subject that some colleges require as a requirement.
- PG Courses: Candidates must have graduated from college in any stream with an overall GPA of between 45 and 55 percent. Some of the institutions prefer applicants with a sporting background.

There are about 160+ best Sports colleges in India. Of these, 92 colleges are privately owned, 26 colleges are owned by public/government organisations, and public-private entities own only 1 college. CAT, CUET-PG, XAT, and CUET are the most accepting entrance exams in top Sports colleges in India. IIM Bangalore, IIM Rohtak, JMI, LPU, K J Somaiya Institute of Management, Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, DY Patil University School of Management, PES University, etc. are some of the best Sports management colleges in India.

The criteria for Jamia Millia Islamia basketball sports quota are as follows.
- You must have competed for your country, region, state or international basketball team.
- If you have played basketball at university level, then the tournaments must be organized by Association of Indian Universities.
- You need to download application form attached with admission notice.
- You have to fill out this form and submit it with a demand draft of Rs. 100 at the university.
- A trial slip will be given to you, which you must bring to the sport trial. According to your performance, the committee will prepare a merit list of qualified students.
