The minimum qualifying eligibility criteria for candidates to appear for SSC GD examination are -
• The candidates must be at least 10th Pass from a recognised Educational Board.
Other eligibility criteria included the age limit of candidate i.e. 18 to 23 years.

- Understand the exam pattern and syllabus: Familiarize yourself with the exam pattern and syllabus to know what to expect in the exam
- Practice previous year papers: Take a printout of the previous year's SSC GD question paper and practice them, as many questions are repeated, and the level is not difficult

Candidates need to obtain the minimum qualifying marks in the SSC GD Constable exam to get shortlisted for the next round- PET/ PST. The minimum qualifying marks for the SSC GD exam 2024 are as follows (without adding bonus marks to NCC certificate holders):
- UR: 30%
- OBC/ EWS: 25%
- All other categories :20%
If an OBC category candidate has scored 25 per cent of the total marks then he or she has qualified the exam. However, it does not guarantee selection of candidature for appointment as candidates need to obtain the SSC GD cutoff marks 2024.

The exam day guidelines for SSC GD Constable exam are given below:
- Report on time at the exam centre on the exam day
- Carry the SSC GD admit card to the exam centre along with their recent passport-size photograph and one valid photo-ID proof - PAN Card/ Passport/ Permanent Driving Licence/ Voter's Card
- Use of electronic gadgets, calculators, books, notebooks, written notes, pagers are not allowed during the exam

Following are the COVID-19 related guidelines for the SSC GD Constable exam:
- Candidates need to report at the exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned on the admit card
- It is compulsory to wear a mask.
- Maintain hand hygiene and properly sanitize before entering the examination centre
