No, the number of SSC GD vacancies are not the same for all the categories. The SSC GD vacancy 2024 vary for reserved and unresered categories. The Commission fixes the number of SSC GD Constable vacancies for Reserved category candidates including SC/ ST/ OBC/ ExS/ others as per the reservation norms. The category-wise SSC GD vacancy list is released by the Commission anytime during the examination process.

No, the number of SSC GD vacancies released for male and females are different. The SSC GD vacancies for male candidates is usually higher than that of female candidates. The SSC GD notification mentions the overall vacancies along with the vacancies for the male and female candidates separately.

SSC GD recruitment is done in total eight forces. For the post of Constable (GD), the recruitment is done in Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Assam Rifles (AR), Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and Secretariat Security Force (SSF). For the post of Rifleman (GD), recruitment is done in Assam Rifles and Sepoy is posted in the NCB.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) announced a total of 50187 vacancies under the SSC GD 2022-2023 recruitment drive. Out of the total SSC GD vacancies, 44439 were for male candidates and 5573 were for female candidates. Initially, a total of 45,284 vacancies were announced for recruitment in the official notification. SSC GD notification mentioned the vacancies for the male and female candidates separately.
