Hi Amitava!
All the three colleges have a great faculty for BA. Do apply in all the three.
As far as I have heard, SSY and SXC give you better opportunities.
Talking about St. Xavier's College, Kolkata, you have to sit for an entrance exam, on the basis of which you will be selected!
You will get every detail in the link given below-
http://www.sxccal.edu/admissions/SXCAdmission2018/UG8102/infoBABSC.htm
Ultimately, your hard work will matter in the end. The college has a very little role to play!
Revert back if you face any doubt. Wishing you good luck!

Hi Mrinal,
Congratulations on scoring such amazing marks.
Maths and English are the two compulsory subjects, you must have and include in your best of four.
90.25% is very doubtful. If not the 1st list, kindly have patience and wait for the second list.
Wishing you good luck.

Hi Pragati,
Yes, the faculty of M.Com is brilliant. It would be a great decision, if you take up M.Com in St. Xavier's College, Kolkata. They give lots of facilities as well. Second, there is an active placement process. Don't worry about it. Just do well in the path your selected. Wishing you good luck.

Hi Sudip,
Congratulations on getting merit listed.
The interview round will be very simple.
They won't be asking any such thing. That's just a formality. Once your name is on the merit list, you are selected as a student. That's it.

There is no such fixed cutoff, other than a minimum of 75% required to apply for the course. Some courses like the Mathematics and Physics have an entrance test. In other streams, the cutoffs can be expected 92-93 for state boards and 95+ for ISC/CBSE candidates. There are secondary merit lists too and four different categories to apply from. All information regarding admission is available on the website. Hope it helps!

Hello Simran,
MA in my opinion would be the best course after BA. However, there are plenty of courses related to eco culminating in certificate or Diploma. You can attempt one of these.

Hi Ayushi,
There is actually no such course. It's an ancillary in the college. But there is a BA in Journalism and Mass Communication course in St. Xavier's University, Kolkata. You can get the details on the website of SXUK.
Minimum marks required for applying for the BSc hons in Mass Communication and Videography in SXCKOL is 60%. So for that, you are not eligible.
All the best.
