No, the BCom course at St. Joseph's College does not require any entrance exam for admission. The admission is completely based on merit. The students are required to fulfil the eligibility criteria of the course. The merit list is prepared on the basis of marks obtained in Class 12.

St. Joseph's College, West Bengal does not refund the fee of the BCom programme if any student cancels his or her candidature after taking admission. In the past few years the college has learned that students are taking admission to SJC but later on they cancel their admission and join elsewhere. The college changed its refund policy to stop this.
