Students must gather all the documents before filling the YLS online application. 

Below mentioned are steps for applying to YLS-

Choose program.

Fill out the application form: Go to LSAC website and fill out required details.

Pay application fee: Students must pay application fee of USD 85.

Wait for a response

Attend Interview: Yale Law School conducts interviews for JD Program, but not for LLM program.

According to the official website of Yale Law School, the students aspiring to be a part of YLS programs, they should have a minimum GPA of 3.3 on a scale of 4.0. Other than the GPA requirements, the students are also expected to do well in other exams.

International students are required to pay tuition fee to pursue Law courses. YLS tuition fee for 2025-26 is USD 76,636 (INR 68.36 L). Tuition fee can be expensive for international student however there are many Yale Law School scholarships available to help these students to cover the tuition and living expenses.

Yale Law School provides various courses including J.D., J.S.D., LL.M.S.L. Ph.D. Joint Degree etc. and the duration to all of these schools vary. 

The JD degree at Yale Law School takes 3 years to get completed. The LLM programme at this Law School is a Masters program, so it take 2 years.

Yes, one can get an Australian PR by the medium of taking the PTE Academic test. The PTE Academic test is accepted for kinds of visa applications in Australia and New Zealand. The minimum PTE score required for Australia PR is 65.
