Australia and the USA have many things in common, some obvious and some subtle. Both are large landmasses, predominantly English speaking, with an ancient native population, and relatively recently settled by European cultures. Both are democracies and both are meritocracies. Yes, both USA and Australia can be compared in terms of higher education for their courses, ROI, post-study work options, post-study staying rules and applying for higher degree level studies as well. Degrees from both the countries are valid abroad and renowned for good job opportunities.

After submitting the application as per the deadline, UFV confirms the acceptance in the order of it has received applications. It may take up to six weeks to confirm whether a student has been accepted into the programme or not. After a student has been accepted to the program, they can log into their application portal to check:

  • Status of the application
  • If the university has received the final documents
  • The documents that have not been received by the university

The applicants of UFV can apply via the online application system. The application fee is CAD 150 for international students for UG and Post-Baccalaureate courses (Around INR 9,000). For all Graduates, Certificates, Diplomas, and Master's degree courses, the application fee is CAD 250 (Around INR 15k). Some of the documents required to apply are:

  • High school transcripts
  • Post-secondary education transcripts (if required)
  • Letter of intent
  • English language proficiency score
  • Portfolio (as required)
  • Personal statement (if applicable)

Yes, the University of Fraser Valley accepts international student enrollment at the university across various courses and departments of study covering more than 70 undergraduate to graduate level courses. 

The university has welcomed over 2,904 international students representing 60 countries in the year 2023-2024

As an international student studying at Fraser Valley University Canada, students can work part-time. They may be able to work off-campus for up to 20 hours per week. Students can work full-time during the scheduled breaks. However, as per the new update regarding international students in Canada, the government has allowed students to work off campus for 24 hours per week. Douglas College has two campuses in Metro Vancouver within British Columbia.

The New Westminster campus houses the international student office as well as two major buildings named Royal Avenue and Anvil Tower.

A total of 85% of the UFV 2023 graduates were employed. This is as per the graduate survey conducted two years after graduation. For the year 2022, this placement rate was 87%. The average salary of the 2023 graduates is CAD 60,000 (Around INR 36 lakh).
