No, internships are not always free. They can be either paid or unpaid.

  • Paid internships: These offer compensation, often in the form of an hourly wage or stipend.
  • Unpaid internships: These do not provide financial compensation, but they can still offer valuable experience, skills development, and networking opportunities.

Whether an internship is paid or unpaid often depends on factors like the industry, the company, the type of work involved, and the intern's experience level.

Yes, KSMU is recognised by NMC & several other global medical bodies including the World Health Organization (WHO) & the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

KSMU medical graduates are allowed to practice medicine in India after successfully clearing the country's national medical exam, FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination). The option to stay & pursue higher studies or practice in Russia itself is also open to the university graduates.

Apart from being recognized by the likes of World Health Organization (WHO), National Medical Commission or Medical Council of India, as it was previously known, and the Russian Ministry of Health, the institute also secured a rank #401-450 for the year 2022, as part of the best emerging universities in Europe and Russia rankings, rolled out by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World.

While KSMU Russia is not ranked for 2025, by popular university ranking publications, it is still a very popular choice among Indian students thanks to its affordable cost of medical studies.
