For UG courses, applicants can apply either through the Common Application or directly apply online to Eastern Illinois University website. For PG courses, applicants need to apply directly through Eastern Illinois University Graduate Application. The application process for Undergraduate programs

• Step 1: Apply online with Eastern Illinois University Application for Admission or the Common Application and complete the undergraduate application for admission

• Step 2: Submit the nonrefundable Eastern Illinois University application fee.

• Step 3: Submit official transcripts and examination results to Admission Services.

• Step 4: Provide evidence of English language proficiency.

• Step 5: Submit your ACT or SAT scores (optional).

• Step 6: Check your application status.

• Step 7: Submit your student visa application.

• Step 1: Review international student admission requirements for your program.

Below are the Eastern Illinois University requirements for international students:

Undergraduate requirements: 

•  If international students opt not to submit their SAT/ACT scores thet must have a GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale. However, if they have a GPA between 2.5 and 2.79, their applications will be reviewed individually by the office of admission to determine eligibility. 

• If they choose to submit test scored and theyb should have a GPA od 2.5 on a scale of 5.0, along with SAT score of 960 or ran ACT score of 18 for admissions.

• If the applicant dosn’t have a good GPA or ACT/SAT score then they are required to give a strong LOR and personal statement.

• Lastly the LOR’s should be completed and signed by a teacher, counselor, or school administrator who can address your potential to succeed at EIU.

• Below are some high school requirements from applicants:

1.   Should have four years of English

2. Students should have three years of mathematics,

3. Applicants should have three years of natural sciences (biological, physical, or agricultural), with significant laboratory ex

4.  Aplicants must have Three years of social studies, including one year of United States history and/or government.

Graduate requirements:

You will need to provide the following with your application for admission: 

• Applicants must have a list of all their prior colleges or universities, accompanied by unofficial transcripts from each school. However, unofficial transcripts should be uploaded with the applicant's application. 

• A USD 30 application fee for PG applicants

• A standardised test, although the graduate school does not have tests minimum for admission, individual departments may have minimum requirements. However, they need to give IELTS or TOEFL if the applicant is from a non-English speaking native country. However, there are other standardised examinations, such as GRE and GMAT, which are compulsory, however, might vary depending on the course the applicant chooses.

• A passport copy is required.
