Some of the things that students can do on the weekends as a student at UCSD are:

  • Keep your mind sharp by jogging on Blacks Beach and hiking Torrey Pines
  • Go to Downtown as there are various clubs and bars
  • Take a stroll at UTC mall with friends
  • Café Sevilla has a great Bachata and Salsa scene, so one can go there over the weekends too
  • One can also go for Scuba diving

The admission requirements for the UCSD Master of Finance program are given below:

  • An undergraduate degree in Finance / Economics / Computer Science / Engineering / Mathematics / Physics or Statistics is required. Other majors are also considered
  • Post-university work, research experience or internships in a Quantitative discipline is also considered
  • An official GMAT / GRE score
  • Application materials like academic transcripts, two recommendations, statement of purpose, resume or CV, etc.

To be eligible for MS in Business Analytics of UCSD, the applicants must have the following:

  • An UG degree in a Quantitative discipline such as Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, or Computer Science OR
  • Relevant work experience, a strong quantitative foundation, a curiosity about data and how it can solve business problems, and familiarity with the use of Quantitative information in the workplace

It totally depends upon the candidate's acadmic strengths and weaknesses that which one would be easier for them . If the candidates prefers to go for less geometrical problems, then GMAT would be a wiser choice as the former has less geometrical problems than GRE. however, if the candidates prefers to go for less quantitatively tricky section then , GRE should be their target examination. The verbal and writing sections would be hard nuts in GRE examination than in GMAT Examination.
