As long as you have a good liking towards learning new technologies there is no harm in opting for SITM. If you wish to pursue career in pure finance I would advice you against joining SITM. A lot of CA students have been our alumnus but chose to stick with ICT domain in spite of having a chance to clear CA.

I think you should register for SITM as soon as possible. Considering your relevant experience, you will receive a call from SITM.

Yes, there have been a lot of mechanical engineers passed out from SITM and have done very well. As long as you are good at grasping and understanding technology, it will not be tough. Plus at the start of the first semester, the institute conducts a bridge course to make students understand the basics of telecom.

Both are taken into account.Valid experience can cover considerable ground for you if your SNAP score is on the lower side, but one has to really prove themselves in the interview once a call is received.

SITM is a great option for a candidate who has done B.Tech in ICT. There are three specializations at SITM, systems and finance, analytics and finance and marketing and finance. The cutoff for all three have been around the 75-78 percentile.

Although it varies from college to college, but It doesn't matter much if you have a good amount of work experience. You should be eligible to apply for MBA programs. Maximum B-Schools keep a minimum of 50% in graduation as the eligibility criteria.

As this is a common query for students, the college has decided that from batch 2018-20 onwards, the first semester will be common for all the students. They can experiment and analyse where their interest truly lies and then take a call on the specialization to pursue from 2nd semester onwards.
Personally, I would suggest Analytics & Finance as it is booming and SITM has a dedicated analytics lab by IBM. They teach all advanced analytics tools like Cognos, SPSS, Tableau and R-Programming. The students are made to undergo various industry level certifications so that they are job ready.

It depends completely on your interest. The best thing about SITM, Pune is that from batch 2018-20 onward, the first semester will be common for all the students. You can experiment and understand where your interest really lies and accordingly choose the specialization from 2nd semester.
