TAPMI Manipal offers admission on the basis of merit. Candidates must secure a minimum aggregate in Class 12 along with securing valid scores in accepted institutional level exams. Furthermore, admissions to the TAPMI Manipal BBA courses are made based on merit in Class 12 and entrance exam, along with presentation. There is no entrance exam for BBA admissions.

Furthermore, TAPMI Manipal offers courses such as MBA, BBA, and other PG Diploma courses in full-time mode. Candidates who have applied for courses at TAPMI Manipal are called for the GDPI round and the final shortlist is then created based on various aspects such as academics, entrance scores, and GDPI scores.

TAPMI Manipal offers an MBA for 2 years with an annual intake of 60 students. The Institute offers various specialisations across MBA, such as, Banking and Finacial Services, International Business, HRM, Marketing, Technology Management, and more.
Admission to MBA in Human Resources Management is offered based on Karnataka PGCET, GMAT, XAT, CAT, NMAT and other equivalent examinations. Furthermore, the Institute offers MBA in HR is offered with the tuition fees worth INR 13.02 Lakh. Whereas, the hostel fees is worth INR 3.45 Lacs and one-time payment is around INR 40K, giving a total of INR 16.87 Lacs of course fees for 2 years.

The Institute is considered in the highest regards for placement facilities, faculty, curriculum, infrastructure, and various other opportunities offered. The Institute is accredited and recognised by various government regulated bodies. Furthermore, during TAPMI Placements 2024, the the highest package offered to the MBA – General Programme students stood at INR 32.02 LPA. Further, a total of 90 companies visited the campus during TA Pai Management Institute MBA General Program placements 2025. Overall, it is worth pursuing academia from TAPMI Manipal.

The TAPMI accepts several exam scores including CAT, CMAT, XAT, and NMAT. It has released separate cutoffs for separate exam for different MBA specilisations. Considering the TAPMI MBA cutoff 2024, the percentile needed to get into TAPMI for Master of Business Administration (MBA) is 95, 85, 80 (score), and 80 for CMAT, CAT, NMAT, and XAT, respectively. With a 90th percentile CAT score, you have a good chance of getting a call from TAPMI and a reasonable chance of conversion. However, TAPMI, like other top B-schools, considers your overall profile, including academics, work experience, and extracurricular activities, beyond just the CAT score.
A 90th percentile is a strong score, indicating you're in the top 10% of CAT test-takers.

TAPMI Manipal accepts various entrance exams to inculcate candidates to different courses. The entrance exam a candidate must appear for depends upon the course being applied for. Entrance exams required for some courses are:
- MBA: TAPMI Manipal offers a two-year MBA programme, candidates must appear for any of the management exams from CAT/NMAT/XAT/GMAT to participate in the admission process
- BBA Hons: The four-year BBA Hons course is offered by TAPMI Manipal to candidates who have appeared for any of IPMAT/JEE/SAT
