Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University,  also known as TNTEU, was established in 2008 by the Government of Tamil Nadu and aims to promote excellence in teachers' education. The university monitors 731 affiliated colleges of education including government, government-aided, and self-financing colleges in the whole of the Tamil Nadu State. TNTEU Chennai courses are approved by NCTE and are offered to students in full-time mode. Apart from this, the university has a well-equipped campus with all the advanced facilities.

Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University (TNTEU) is a good choose for M.Ed .It was an university .This college has good NCTE- recognised M.Ed programme and has a good and strong academic curriculum . But it has limited placements.This university has an good infrastructure also.This is good for those who pursuing government teaching jobs.

Yes, there are decent placements at the Chennai-based Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University (TNTEU). The college offers education and teaching courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. Nearly 97% of the students are placed.
The average package provided is approximately 4.4 LPA. Campus placements are done by recruiters like Zoho, Tata, and Royal Enfield etc.

TNTEU specializes in courses such as B.Ed, M.Ed, M.Phil and Ph.D. in Education. Actually, all these courses are very good to do, but best course among them is B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) at this TNTEU (Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University). The only reason to select this course because of excellent placements, remaining all things are same.

Admission to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University (TNTEU) is merit-based and is decided on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying test.

Eligibility -

  • For admission to B.Ed. course, you must possess a degree in a subject like Economics, Commerce, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, and others with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • For you to qualify to be admitted to the M.Ed. program, you must possess a B.Ed. qualification with 50% marks in theory and practical classes.

So, it will be not that much easy to get admission.

According to available data on official website of this college,  B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) degree holder of Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University (TNTEU) gets a salary of around INR 3.5 Lakhs annually. Placement is generally in government schools and private schools. Also, placements percentage and history of this college is relatively high.
