Placements at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) for B.Tech programs have very good placements.
Placement Overview: Every year, TNAU conducts campus interviews for final-year degree students. Every year, about 60 firms and other organizations take part in Campus Interviews. Each year, around 450-500 graduates are placed.
Placement Statistics 2023: A total of 226 out of 1,553 students were successfully placed in the TNAU placements 2023 for both undergraduate and graduate programs. TNAU gave students a median annual wage package of Rs 3.62 Lakhs for UG (4-year) degrees and Rs 5.32 Lakhs for PG (2-year) courses.

- There is NO ENTRANCE EXAMINATION
- Applicants who have studied in Regular, Full time and Formal Education are eligible to apply
- If you are a native of Tamil Nadu, then you have to apply for the counselling on the official website of TNAU, for which the link will be activated after the board exam results. If you are from other states, then you have to write an entrance examination conducted by ICAR, and for that entrance you have to apply through ICAR website.
- The admission will be on the basis of the performance in the qualifying examination (10+2).

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University has not released the 2023 placement report or brochure. However, the NIRF report 2023 is out. According to the report, 154 UG (4-year) and 72 PG (2-year) students were placed during 2022 placements. The median package offered to UG (4-year) and PG (2-year) students was INR 3.62 LPA and INR 5.32 LPA, respectively. Shrishti BioScience, Mahindra and Mahindra, IDFC Bank, and many other leading companies participated in recent TNAU placement sessions.

The 2023 cutoff for undergraduate courses at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) is based on merit. The cutoff for general category students is expected to be between 190 and 180 marks, while BC students can expect a cutoff of 185 to 170 marks. MBC/DNC is expected to have a cutoff of 200 to 190 marks, and SC is expected to have a cutoff of 170 marks.

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University accepts TANCET scores while considering admissions in MBA courses. The previous year's cut-off has been released and ranges from 75-80 for the open category while it may go lower for SC and OBC, and increase for the BCM category. The expected cut-off for 2024 for admission to TNAU is 38-50 for the Open category. The cut-offs vary for different courses and will be released by the specific universities themselves.

The cut-off released last year by Tamil Nadu Agricultural University was 187.5-183.33 for the General category, 185-172 for BC, and 165 for the SC category in TNEA. The cut-off expected for 2023 has been posted- 190-180 for the General category, 185-170 for BC, and 170 for the SC category. The cut-offs can vary depending on the average score in the year by the students. The expected cut-offs can increase as well as decrease as per the performance.

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University is not at all expensive. The courses provided require fees as less as 18k as well. It depends on which course you select. The university offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Diploma courses in various disciplines. The fees differ from one to another. While some courses touch 3 lacs, some courses can be covered in amounts as minimum as 20k. The living cost at TNAU also ranges from 10k to 15k making it cost-efficient.

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University has some top recruiters of the country visiting for placement rounds from Axis Bank, KPN Farms Fresh to AES Technologies. As per reports, the average placement packages have also increased every year resulting in a good streak. The placements at TMAU scale from INR 3.62 LPA to INR 5.32 LPA in different courses and disciplines. The medium package for UG courses is defined as INR 3.60 LPA and for PG courses INR 4.20 LPA. The students have also received at maximum of INR 7 LPA in placement rounds and as the lowest as INR 2.4 LPA, making the university an good for placements.
