Hi,
1. If you wish to be a teacher in school, then go for B.ED and crack Teacher Eligibility Test. Eligibility conditions are:
(a) Bachelor's Degree with 50% marks in aggregate in the 10+2+3 or 11+2+2 pattern, or with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate in the 10+2+2 or 11+3 pattern
(b) Having studied at least two subjects at the bachelor's degree level, to be later taken as school teaching subjects
2. Else if you aim at being a lecturer, then I would advice you to go for a regular masters degree in a relevant discipline and clear U.G.C NET conducted mainly to recruit research assistants and professors in various streams of education.

To become an Arts teacher, you need to have competency and certification in Arts. You need to have a basic degree before going for BEd. If the basic degree is in Fine Arts or such simila discipline, it will be very much preferred. Other wise, you need to have a BA/BSc/BCom and then a government recognised diploma in Art/Commercial Arts/Fine Arts, etc and then a BEd. Good Luck

Hi,
In order to become a lecturer in any recognized university in India , one needs to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
1. Must have passed Masters Degree examination from a recognized university in the subject you would like to teach.
2. Must have scored a minimum of 55% marks in the masters degree examination.
3. Must have qualified National Eligibility Test for Lectureship conducted by University Grant Commission mainly to recruit research assistants and professors in various streams of education.
