The biggest benefit of having the MEd Degree is that of career advancement. The course focuses on various aspects of education such as instruction, counselling, leadership, curriculum, and educational technology. With the publication of National Education Policy of India 2020, education has found the centre-stage in policy formulation, therefore MEd candidates who are researchers in this field have a great scope.

Yes, MEd Degree offers various specializations including Special Education, Women Studies, Guidance, Counselling, etc. Some elective subjects taught under specialisation includes In-Service Teacher Education in India, Historical and Political Perspectives of Education etc. Therefore, based on the specialisations, candidates can become lecturers or professors in Education and Teaching colleges and also research on the abovementioned areas.

Yes candidates get recruited after the completion of the MEd Degree,  if they fulfil the eligibility criteria laid down by the recruiter. Some of the top recruiters include Educomp, FIITJEE, TIME, NIIT, Vibgyor. Candidates who have completed MEd degree can find themselves working as Lecturers and Teachers in Education Colleges and Departments.

The MEd Course is of two years duration divided into four semesters. It consists of various theoretical and practical papers which prepares a candidate to gather expertise in the field of education. Candidates who are pursuing MEd can also extend their duration of completion of the course, subject to unavailability during examinations or any administrative duties. Candidates can complete this course within a maximum period of 4 years.

Some of the MEd entrance exams are DUET, JUET, BHU PET, AMU Entrance Exam and Masters of Education Entrance Test. MEd entrance exam pattern is such that candidates are usually tested on three parameters - Teaching Aptitude, Reasoning Ability and Language Proficiency. Candidates must prepare graduation-level BEd syllabus in order to score good marks in Teaching Aptitude. RIE CEE results for Level 2 (B.Ed/B.Ed-M.Ed/M.Ed) in 2026 are expected to be released in Sep, 26 typically a few weeks after the July exam.

Group B (B.Ed/B.Ed-M.Ed) results often come in early September and 

Group C (M.Ed) is a bit later in September.
