No, the Andhra Pradesh EdCET exam syllabus is not based on the 12th class syllabus. Instead, the syllabus is divided into three parts: General English, General Knowledge & Teaching Aptitude, and a chosen Subject-Specific Methodology. The subject-specific methodology questions cover topics from the candidate's undergraduate degree, not their 12th-grade coursework.

The Andhra Pradesh EdCET exam is divided into three sections: General English, General Knowledge & Teaching Aptitude, and Methodology. The exam consists of 150 multiple-choice questions, with each question carrying one mark, for a total of 150 maximum marks.

If you are appearing for +2 Exams/12th class in 2025, you may upload the qualifying marks before 29/06/25 for BSc BEd, BA BEd and MSc Ed. Please note that the candidates who have not uploaded their qualifying marks will not be considered for CEE-2025 Rank Generation.

The courses offered by different RIEs as follows;

  • BSc BEd (Four Year Integrated)-RIE, Bhubaneswar and Mysuru
  • BA BEd (Four Year Integrated)-RIE, Bhubaneswar and Mysuru
  • MSc Ed (Six Year Integrated)-Only at RIE Mysuru-Open for candidates of all States / UTs
  • BEd (Two Year) – All RIEs except RIE, Nellore
  • BEd MEd (Three year) – Only at RIE, Bhopal-Open for students of all states/UTs
  • MA (Education Technology) – Only at RIE, Nellore- Open for students of all states/UTs
  • MEd (Two Year) - All RIEs except NERIE, Shillong and RIE, Nellore

If you do not meet the UP BEd JEE cut-off, you will not be eligible to participate in the state-level counseling process and will not secure a seat through the exam.
