Hi Pranav,
Engineering is generally preferred. The other option can be BBA. Most of the students in IIMs are from good engineering colleges.
If you are opting for any non-engineering course, then my recommendation would be to go only if you are getting into a top college for that course.

Realize that, you shouldFocus on the Process, not the Outcome.
'Becoming a Topper' is an outcome (something you don't fully control), whereas, 'studying' is a process.
