Engineering is generally preferred. The other option can be BBA. Most of the students in IIMs are from good engineering colleges.
If you are opting for any non-engineering course, then my recommendation would be to go only if you are getting into a top college for that course.

Realize that, you shouldFocus on the Process, not the Outcome.
'Becoming a Topper' is an outcome (something you don't fully control), whereas, 'studying' is a process. You cannot control the outcome, but you can definitely work on the process to make it as better as you can! So, start focusing on, and enjoying the very process of studying! Just focus on how you can have a creative approach with regards to studying
