With devotion to Mahatma Gandhi's revolutionary concept of 'Nai Talim' system of education, Gandhigram Rural institute has developed academic programmes in Rural Development, Rural Economics and Extension education, Rural Oriented Sciences, etc. That's how it is different from other institute by it's vision of education. GRI is one of the central-funded universities that offers high-standard study and course curriculum, comparable to the National Institutes of Technology (NIT) and the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT). The institute is actively involved in both campus and rural areas, benefiting and enriching one another.
