The UVM is not part of the prestigious group of Ivy League universities which are considered the flagbearers of quality education in the country.

However, the institute still maintains a very good level of education, offering a number of upskilling opportunities in the form of student events throughout the academic year, & maintains a great placement record.

The University of Vermont charges a non-refundable application fee of around USD 55 (INR 4,700) to its international students seeking admissions to the institute.

The application fee must be submitted alongside the admission application & can be paid online. The fee is mandatory to be paid by students (except those who qualify for a fee waiver), & no applications are considered without the payment of the said fee.

UVM tuition fee for international students is around INR 38.5 L. Further, students also have to incur costs associated with living at or near the UVM campus, with annual costs of living going as high as INR 20-25 L, depending on the standard of living students decide to pursue.

The institute can be considered reasonably costly, as compared to some other US based institutions located in major locations such as Boston, New York, Chicago, etc. who all charge a much higher tuition fee & the living expenses are even higher there.
