No, direct admission is not offered by the Indian Institute of Information Technology Tiruchirappalli. Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria and follow the stated selection process shall qualify for IIT Trichy through an admission procedure.

The college life at the Indian Institute of Information Technology Tiruchirappalli is good. Here are some of the points I would like to highlight.
The college has the necessary equipment and facilities to provide students with education according to their needs. There are smart classroom computers, projector machines, laboratories that are well maintained, WiFI facilities available in classrooms, dorms and even a mess room. In the dormitory, the mess, etc., cleanliness is also maintained.

The PGs and hostels available close to the Indian Institute of Information Technology Tiruchirappalli may change from time to time. IIT Tiruchirappalli offers on-campus hostel facilities to their students, separately for boys and girls with all the basic necessities.
Apart from that, there are private hostels and PG accommodations available in and around Tiruchirappalli that cater to students from various educational institutions. Students who wants to pursue B.Tech at Indian Institute of Information Technology Tiruchirappalli must appear for the JEEMainseam and clear the cutoff score. Below are some of the criteria that are necessary for B.Tech at Indian Institute of Information Technology Tiruchirappalli:
- In Class XII, or equivalent Board examinations, at least 75% of the aggregate marks must be obtained.
- The overall marks shall not exceed 65% in respect of SC, ST and PwD candidates.

The highest and average package offered as per the PGPM placement report 2024 was INR 43.69 LPA and INR 19.43 LPA during IIM Trichy placements 2024. Also, the highest package and average package offered to PGPM-HR students was INR 29.86 LPA and INR 17.88 LPA during 2024 placements.
