The overall vibe of the University of Agricultural Sciences can be considered as a blend of co-curricular, relaxed campus culture and happening extracurricular activities. The university primarily focuses on group projects, practical training in fields and making the learning experience more hands-on. Also, the university takes care of the student life and culture conducting events and fests annually. UAS Bangalore organises events such as ‘Krishi Mela’ and other cultural fests to encourage students.

Admission to the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore for UG/PG courses is based on an entrance exam. Candidates can check the eligibility criteria below:

  • For the UG programs, candidates must have passed Class 12 with 45% aggregate marks from a recognised board. Also, the candidate must have appeared for KCET or ICAR AIEEA.

The university has 22 campuses, namely the University of Agricultural Sciences in Dharwad, Raichur, among others. University of Agricultural Sciences has 6 affiliated colleges as well. Yes, as a NRI student you can certainly apply for the programmes offered at University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore. However, NRI candidates should satisfy the eligibility criteria as stated by the university to get a seat at the university. The basic eligibility is to have passed a two years Pre-University course (Class 12 equivalent) with a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & Biology subjects. Students applying through the Agri-Quota need to submit the documents at the time of application for the desired course at UAS Bangalore. Depending on the centre for which the student had specified in KEA application, the candidates will have to submit the following documents:

  • CET admission ticket
  • Certificate issued by the Tahsildar/ acknowledgement with RD number (for Agriculturist/labour in agriculture and allied sector)
  • Family tress (Vamshavruksha) issed by the Tahsildar in case of undivded family for Agriculture Quota
