University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore (UAS) was established in 1964. Initially, the university was established as UAS Bangalore by a legislative act. The university has 22 campuses, namely the University of Agricultural Sciences in Dharwad, Raichur, among others. University of Agricultural Sciences has 6 affiliated colleges as well. The campuses are spread across central, southern, eastern, hilly, and coastal regions of India.

Yes, as a NRI student you can certainly apply for the programmes offered at University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore. However, NRI candidates should satisfy the eligibility criteria as stated by the university to get a seat at the university. The basic eligibility is to have passed a two years Pre-University course (Class 12 equivalent) with a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & Biology subjects. Students applying through the Agri-Quota need to submit the documents at the time of application for the desired course at UAS Bangalore. Depending on the centre for which the student had specified in KEA application, the candidates will have to submit the following documents:
- CET admission ticket
- Certificate issued by the Tahsildar/ acknowledgement with RD number (for Agriculturist/labour in agriculture and allied sector)
- Family tress (Vamshavruksha) issed by the Tahsildar in case of undivded family for Agriculture Quota
- Income Certificate
- Affadavit stating that agriculture is their only source of income

The University of Agricultural Sciences Bangalore (UASB) offers an MBA program. The basic eligibility for the MBA programme is a bachelor's degree or equivalent with relevant subjects.

The University has reserved 40% of seats for children of Agriculturists, and 15% of the seats are reserved for ICAR-NTS. The exact number of seats available for the B.Tech programme at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore is not mentioned.
