 GMAT is not required for MBA at the University of UMass. The University requires applicants to have at least three years of experience and a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university or college.  However, applicants can also make admissions without a GMAT score by submitting their academic accomplishments and work experience by submitting just application materials that include work experience and academic accomplishments. The University of UMass Amherst requires a minimum GPA of 3.2 or higher cumulative for Graduate students. Overall, the University is a little competitive and aims to build a class of innovative and accomplished students.

A. The cost of attending the University of UMass can vary depending on the main factors such as course, level of study ( Ex UG and PG) and accommodation status. However, international students considering the University of UMass, Amherst, could be slightly higher than US students. 

The UG’s Academic Tution fee for international students is around (INR 28 L TO INR 32.5 L ). It’s ( INR 17.5 L - INR 27.5 L) for PG programs.The University of UMass, Amherst, offers a wide range of accommodations considering its student's safety and affordable living place. Application Process for UG programs: 

Application for UMass Amhrest can only be made through a Common Application for Undergraduate students.

Step 1: Check out the University's Admission requirements and ensure you meet them 

Step 2: Choose the programme you want to apply to at UMass Amhrest.

Step 3: Submit your application through “ common application”. You will need to provide Basic information, Test scores, transcripts, Personal History, Academic History and English proficiency scores for International students (IELTS or TOEFL)

Step 4: Pay the application fee of  USD85, which is non-refundable irrespective of the outcome. 

Step 5: Submit the additional documents such as SOP, LOR or a portfolio. Make sure you meet the required deadlines of the course.

Step 6: After 24-48 hours of submission of your application, the university will mail you your credentials (Username and pin) with a student page link in which you can track your application status.

Step 7: Wait for the decision.
Note: UMass University has not been mailing the decision. Everything is done online.

Application Process for PG programs: 

The application process at UMass can be done only through UMass Amhrest Graduate School application. 

Step 1: Make sure you meet the requirements of the University before applying 

Step 2: Apply using the UMass Graduate School portal for applying.

Step 3: Fill out the application by providing them with your basic information, Test Scores, SOP and essays, bachelor's degree transcripts and portfolio.

Step 4: Pay the application fee of USD85, which is non-refundable irrespective of the outcome

Step 5: Submit the additional documents such as SOP, LOR and resumes. Make sure you meet the required deadlines of the course.

Step 6: Within 7 days after you submit the application process, The University will mail you the credentials ( NetId and password). Use these credentials to log into SPIRE to check out the status of your application.
