The University of Oslo send the admission letters by email in Late March. The payment information will be sent in the students’ admission letter. In order to prepare for the arrival at Oslo University, follow the steps given below:

  • First of all, apply for housing
  • Then, apply for a visa and residence permit
  • After this, plan the arrival at Oslo University
  • Then, get a username and password for IT services
  • Next, register for the courses

Yes, the student residence permit will allow University of Oslo students to work up to 20 hours a week. Students can also work full-time during holidays. Note that part-time work permit allows students to be an employee. They are not allowed to set up their own business while being on a student permit. Also note that while doing part-time work, students have to follow a normal study progression and complete 30 ECTS credits each semester.

At the University of Oslo, all the bachelor’s programs are taught in Norwegian. On the other hand, there are some Master’s programme that are taught in English such as Data Science, Economics, Informatics, Physics, Psychology, etc.

  • Master’s degree: Indian applicants are required to have a 4-year bachelor’s degree and / or 3-year bachelor’s degree and 1-year master’s degree
