Securing an admission to the University of Tokyo for MS courses is a competitive affair, but not impossible. International students must fulfill the admission requirements listed below order to boost their chances of pursuing the University of Tokyo MS programs:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field;
- Academic transcripts of all colleges and universities attended and statement of completion of all colleges or universities attended;
- Proof of English language proficiency;
- Most recent GPA score report from the university/college;
- Personal statement (SOP);
- GRE score reports; and
- 2 recommendation letters from current supervisors.

Yes, international students can work while studying at the University of Tokyo. However, to do so, they must obtain a work permit from the Japanese Immigration Bureau. Students can work up to 28 hours per week during the semester, and up to 8 hours per day during vacations. Some of the best job roles for part-time work are as follows:
