The Graduate School does not have any Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) requirement for international students to get admission to the university. However, some of the Michigan Tech University graduate programs may require one of these examinations. Students have to check the admission requirements of the programme in which they are applying.

International students who wish to study MS in CS in the USA at MTU, must submit a valid GRE score. The GRE is immensely helpful for the admissions committee to evaluate whether a candidate can meet the performance standard required for the MS admission. All international students whose native language is not English must submit the proof of English language proficiency to get direct admission to Michigan Technological University courses. Franklin University is in the US, whereas, Jamia is in Delhi. The tuition fees to study at Franklin Uni is around 12 lakh, whereas for JMI the fees is around INR 47k. So, students can complete their education in India when they study at JMI.
