After completing 12th (Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology), students can go for a Bachelor of Veterinary Science course. The course normally lasts for 5 years and has both theoretical as well as practical training on animal health, anatomy, surgery, pharmacology, and pathology.

At Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVVU), the cutoff ranks for the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. and A.H.) program change annually according to the number of applicants and available seats. The general category cutoff rank, for example, was 126,922 in 2023. 

The official SVVU website or the admissions office itself are the best places to find the most current and accurate information on cutoff ranks and admissions procedures.

There are several veterinary colleges in Andhra Pradesh where one can enroll in undergraduate and postgraduate courses on veterinary sciences.

Different colleges, however, admit students into various courses based on the total number of applicants and the reservation policy for that particular year. Significant Andhra Pradesh Veterinary colleges include Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVVU), Dr. N.T.R. College of Veterinary Science, and College of Veterinary Science, Rajendranagar.

The exact rank needed to get a veterinary seat through EAMCET 2024 may differ on the basis of the caste, number of seats and the overall competition. Normally, however, the range of top 20,000 rank is competitive to get government veterinary colleges and a bit higher rank could be okay for private ones.

The VCI full form is Veterinary Council of Ireland. It approves veterinary colleges in Ireland and the United Kingdom (not just England). Not all European colleges are approved by the VCI
