VFX is a field of applying your design knowledge to create pleasing effects to highlight and progress the story. So typically a VFX person either comes from animation or film making. The lower end staff comes from graphics.
Now, ideally a Course in either Animation or Film Making would qualify you to then take VFX as a specialization and also ensure that you stand on firm ground. Do not focus on what the certification is called, but search more on the learnings from the course. Something like VFX Pro or similar specialized course from a good institute can be good. I did a quick search about AAU but it didn't figure in the top ranked colleges. This totally would depend on your budget and the level of creative arts portfolio. Studying abroad in programming/ animation/ design is great but you would need to understand their structure and how it works.
If you're still searching you can look at studying for a job oriented diploma at a leading school in Canada. The nature of course depends on your plans ahead, in case you wish to get a job then you could opt for a diploma or certificate or if you are willing to invest time, you may opt for a post graduate degree in VFX.

1. NID and
2. IIT-IDC are two Government Institutes.
The competition to get in would be tremendous. There are several good Private Institutes like:
1. Arena and
2. MAAC as well.
You could do well to create a list of places you may want to learn at, whether they are in your city or not. Then go to their websites and research about them, and even call them and talk to them. Try their website for more details.
Typically go for a school which offers all the information including faculty on their website. Now shortlist some you want to visit. Do not hesitate to travel, this is about your life and career. After visiting those take a deci

Hi,
you can join the course after your job timing but you need to keep following things in your mind:
1) time management
2) work management
3) work pressure management
4) practice of course
also see what timing will be suitable for you, how much and how you will give time to your vfx course.
most important thing that it should not affect your current job.
also it should not disturb your personal life.
Hope it will help you, feel free ask more. Give thumbs up or mark this answer as best if you found it helpful.
