VIT-Vellore is much better than SASTRA. It comes under top 10 institutions in India.

ENTC and computer are really two different fields and you need to choose the stream based on your interest. As far as colleges are concerned, I can talk about Cummins as I know a little about VIT. Cummins is autonomous and has good opportunities for placements for people in Computer and IT streams.
