It is suggested that please visit the institute and ask them about their studio facilities and industrial exposure. There are no restrictions. If you have a good caliber, you will land up with a good job. MDIM is better than the newer IIM's as far as placements (ROI) and campus life are concerned.

Well you cannot get admission in NIFT without appearing for it's entrance exam. So you can drop a year and appear for it next year i.e. 2019.
