Western Sydney University, Sydney City Campus admission requirements for international students are given below:

  • Undergraduate: Successful completion of CBSE exams / ISCE with an overall GPA of 60% in the best 4 core subjects or Higher Secondary Certificate with a passing marks of 70% (State Board)
  • Postgraduate: A recognised bachelor’s degree is required

International students who want to study at WSU, Sydney City Campus are required to show the proof of English language proficiency. They can do so by submitting IELTS / TOEFL / PTE scores. The minimum test scores required in these tests are:

Yes, as an international student at WSU, Sydney City Campus, one will be automatically considered for an international scholarship. A separate application is not required. Scholarships are offered on the basis of merit. Some of the scholarships that are offered are:

  • Vice Chancellor’s Academic Excellence UG / PG Scholarships: Covers 50% of the cost of the tuition fees for 3 or 2 years
  • Western Sydney International Scholarships: For UG / PG International students: Offers a AUD 6,000 multi-year or AUD 3,000 multi-year partial scholarship to be applied towards tuition fees up to a maximum of 3 years or 2 years

Western Sydney University Sydney City Campus values academic excellence, integrity and pursuit of knowledge and the university offers a wide range of UG and PG programs. Furthermore international students have scholarship opportunities as per the academic merit. Multi year scholarships are offered for the amount AUD 3,000 or AUD 6,000 or 50% towards the tuition fees. Furthermore student accommodations are also available on campus for international students. Western University MS course is ranked among top courses globally. According to QS - Biological Sciences Rankings,  Western University was ranked #251-300 for MS in 2023This ranking stood at #251-300 in 2022 and #301-350 in 2021. For international students interested in studying MS at Western University will have to pay a first-year tuition fee of INR 8L - 34L.

Some of the tips for students starting their first-semester at the Western University are:

  • Students who applied for Western University must be humble and should interact with as many people as possible. Mainly beacause, the more people you talk to the better knowledge you get. 
  • Attend as many gathering and parties as much as you can. 
  • Applicants should avoid missing classess, as 70% of learning comes from students going to classes. 
  • Students can get invovlved with extracuricular activities, i.e joing university clubs, sports etc. This will also look good on a portfolio in the longer run.

The process is very simple. The transfer credit evaluation begins when the applicant accepts an offer of admission and submits the required documents.

According to the university, it doesn't allow transfer credit at the time of application, forcing a fair and comprehensive evaluation based on the documentation provided. This allows  transition, potentially helping students to start from the second year of their academic classes at the university. 

Lastly, applicants can view  transfer credits in their Transfer Credit Report in Student Center to access their Transfer Credit Report.
