You need to have M.A in Yoga or Acharya/M.A or its equivalent degree and one year Diploma in Yoga/ PG Diploma in Yoga from a recognised University/ Institute with a minimum 55% marks.

Citizenship: Indian nationals can apply under the General category.
Qualification: Graduates in any discipline are eligible for MSc Yoga Therapy.
Marks: Candidates must have obtained not less than 50% marks in aggregate at the qualifying examination.

Since it is a part-time course, you will have to approach the college directly. The eligibility criterion is very relaxed and you should be eligible. Part-time courses are usually at weekends for a day or two. You can take classes and study at home.

It would be helpful if you mention the location. Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu offers PG Diploma in Yoga. Other institutes like AISCET University, Barkatullah University, Bhavnagar University, JIMS, IIYNew, etc., are also good.

To become a yoga instructor in India a PG Diploma in yoga after graduation from a recognised institution is the minimum qualification required. However, a certificate course in yoga is meant for only basic and foundation knowledge in yoga.

Hi Shiwani, After completing a degree in yoga, you can work with government schools, colleges, research centres and even hotels. Recently, the following public sector organizations invited applications from eligible candidates for positions pertaining to yoga:
Junior Yoga Experts- Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga Instructor- Chandigarh Administration
In the aforesaid job notifications, Chandigarh Administration required that candidates must have completed their B.Ed in Yoga.
