Alagappa University Karaikudi Answered Questions

Alagappa University offers a full-time two-year MSc programme in different disciplines. Admission to MSc (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & Microbiology) programmes is done based on the entrance exam (50% weightage) and marks obtained in the qualifying examination (50% weightage) whereas admission to the MSc (Biotechnology) course is done based on the entrance test and interview marks. Admission to the remaining MSc programmes is done based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination only. Candidate should have completed Graduate/Bachelors degree (10+2+3 or 10+2+4) or equivalent in Computer Science / Computer Applications / Mathematics / other relevant stream from a recognised university to be eligible.

The Directorate of Distance Education was established in the Alagappa University during the year 1992. The Directorate offers Under Graduate and Post Graduate Programmes in the disciplines of Arts, Science, Education and Management. There are two sessions of admission every year, July session (from 1st July to 31st August) and the January session (from 1st January to 28th February). Admission to PG programmes ONLINE portal closed on 31.03.2024. The last date for application for the September session is September 30, 2024.
