Andhra University has a better national ranking and accreditation, perhaps because its campus is somewhat bigger and has better equipment. It also has a larger number of fields of study that one can pursue. However, JNTU Kakinada provides an education setting that is more personal than the one in VIT Vizag, and has comparatively smaller classes and more focused attention by the members of the faculty. This is equivalent to a relatively improved performance of students in matters such as placements. Some of the students might be attracted by the prestige of Andhra University whereas others will find the small close-knit community and focus on care at JNTU Kakinada.
