Till now there were two specialisations available :
Electrical engineering
Electronics and Communication Engineering
In 2023 university introduced one more course that is computing and mathematics.
Total there are 3 specialisations available under engineering in CUK.

Scholarships are provided by the Central University of Karnataka on two bases:
1- Need-based scholarships: Provided to the students who are under the poverty lines.
Students who hail from the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, or OBC quota are eligible for scholarships if they secure 75 percent in their higher secondary examination.
Students who hail from an economically low background are eligible for the CUK Karnataka scholarship by the university.
Students whose parent serves /has served in the military are eligible for a scholarship.
The university sponsors a scholarship under the sports quota and physically challenged students.
2- Merit-based scholarships: Provided to the students who have scored the top marks.

The campus size of the Central University of Karnataka is built across 654 acres of land, the University offers various Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and doctoral courses, including Bachelor of Technology, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, B.Ed, Master of Computer Application, Master of Commerce, Master of Business Administration, and LLM among others. The University is approved by University Grants Commission and has B++ Grade accreditation by NAAC.

The most unique thing I noticed in this college is the environment and surrounding. As it is located in an remote area it is a good place for study. You will get fresh air, not polluted like urban area. Here there will be no huge noise disturbance having a fresh and calm environment.

Food in the cuk is just average it's just acceptable, not to good. In breakfast we will get - idli, vada, satt dosa, upma, purri
In lunch we will get machine made small rotti with usually sabji of potato, bottle ground, rajma and other pulses with butter milk and 1 papad
In night we will get 2 types of rottis 1 hand made chapati and machine made rotti having sabji similar to afternoon ones, On Sunday night we will get chicken and paneer. Some time north Indians suffer with food type which I usually saw. So, some food cooks are also from north India for them too.

To get admission in Central University of Karnataka (CUK) for B.Tech courses (lateral entry), you must have completed a 3-year Diploma in engineering with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks. You can register yourself online for admission by filling out the B.Tech lateral entry admission registration form and registering for the entrance exam (if required). Yes, all the admission are done on the basis of category-wise seat reservations. There will be separate reserved seats for every given category. Apart from this, there will be reserved seats for Jammu & Kashmir migrants, NCC, and sports players etc.
