Our lives turn when we enter the Central University of Karnataka.
Placements: The percentage of placed students is very low, around 10% to 15%. The lowest package is 2 LPA, and the highest package is 12 LPA. Some seniors are placed at Aakash Educational Services Ltd., and some are placed at IEEE-related companies. For internships, the minimum requirement is 8.5 CGPA. Most internships are carried out at IITs, NITs, and IIITs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. Laboratories are available in our college. It is especially for Electronics and Electrical students, where we can explore new ideas. The hostel is of high quality, very clean, and the food is also good. For physical activities, we have a gym, playground, and multipurpose hall.
Faculty: The teaching quality is okay, but we have to focus more on our subjects because teachers cannot explain every topic in detail. For that, we have a big library where books for all courses are available. We can issue them to study in the hostel or classroom. Semester examinations are difficult, so we have to study everything taught in class. The pass percentage is around 75%. Faculty in our department have an engineering background. They help us in the particular domain subjects we focus on.
Other: I chose this course to build knowledge about microchips and gain deeper knowledge of VLSI design. The best part of the course is that it focuses more on laboratory work than lecture classes. Fests are conducted for every department, such as Engineering Day and Science Day. Scholarships are available for students according to their family income.

College is okay, it depends on you whether you like it, overall it's good.
Placements: Placements are not that much but a good number of students are placed for a 3 LPA-4 LPA package and core companies don't visit that much compared to other colleges. Still, some companies visit and it's good if you get selected as a fresher but don't expect a very high salary.
Infrastructure: The new hostel is great. Mess food is also good. The college campus is also very spacious but the distance between the hostel and department is very big and it's kind of hectic to attend classes, especially during the summer when bikes are allowed on campus. Lab facilities are also being provided.
Faculty: Specifically for the engineering course the faculty is good and the curriculum is okay. The exams are held on a regular basis. Faculty here in the engineering department are highly qualified and have very good teaching experience. The course is good.

MA in Journalism and Mass Communication - Batch of 2023

Overall, it is the best university for the MA in Journalism and Mass Communication Course.
Placements: Our university offers average placements in major corporations. Teaching and curriculum activities are consistent with the institution's mission. Almost 75 percent of students go to college each year. The average package offered is 13 LPA. The top recruiting companies for our course are Zed News, Star India, and All India Radio. Top roles offered are broadcast news producer, senior content editor, etc. Internships are also offered here.
Infrastructure: I decided to enroll in this two-year journalism program, which has two departments, i.e., practical first in the lab and lecture in the classroom. There is a CCTV camera in the classroom and a lovely laboratory at our university. There are good novels in the library as well.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, competent, and knowledgeable. Their teaching is good, and everything is there. Annual and monthly assessments are used to evaluate the course curriculum. The learning materials are available in PowerPoint format. Semester exams are difficult. Only 36 percent of students pass exams.

Overall, the university is good. In 2025, from CS department 24 students got placed.
Placements: For my department (Electronics and Communication) placement is not too good. The placement faculty are actively doing work. In 2025 from CS department 24 students got placed. The company visited TCS. Here the placement is not too good you have to do more work for yourself.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are good and new. A hostel is given to all students and in one room there are 3 students. The Wi-Fi network is decent. Department infrastructure is also good and new. There is a smart board for every classroom. The lab is also good and all components are available in the lab.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful we can relate to what they teach. After the class the lab is there and the semester exams are not too hectic. You can pass easily even if you studied before the exam. Central University of Karnataka is an autonomous university so question papers are made by the subject teacher and also checked by them.
Other: There are 2-5 events in a month.

B.Tech. in Mathematics and Computing - Batch of 2029

The course is quite tough but good if you want a challenge.
Placements: Placements are fairly low. The Computer Science and Mathematics branches are new, and none of the batches from these branches have completed their courses, so there is no placement data from these branches, and the data available is from Electrical and Electronics branches.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite good for Mathematics and Computing and Computer Science. The labs are fairly new, and the faculty members are nice enough that if there is an issue with infrastructure, they try to resolve it. The hostels are fairly new and good with decent facilities.
Faculty: The exams are decent, but some subjects are very tough, specifically the mathematics ones. A lot of people fail in the mathematics subject in their first semester. The teachers are very nice and helpful; some of them can be a little tough, but they are good and decent.
Other: I choose this course because I have interest in it. The surrounding is very nice, it is quite hot and dry in summer, but in monsoon, when everything is wet, the surrounding becomes very green and lush. There are not that many people compared to other universities that I have been to, but the campus is very diverse with a fair percentage of people from every corner of India.

University is good and satisfied with the facilities.
Placements: There are no maximum placements, but education is good. Placements are too low so that's why their NAC is B+. They are not too old college, that's why they have no placements in more departments. Psychology department has good placements. So if you are interested in that department you can join.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college and hostel are good compared to all colleges. Hostel is too good but there is very hot temperature. Hostel facility is good. Room is big. In one room 6 members are there. Hostel facility is provided for all students.
Faculty: Teachers are good in nature. They are helping other students. They can help with the study. Exams are strictly conducted. If you are studying properly, then you can pass the exam because it's not an easy paper, you have to study for the exam. Teachers are generally well-qualified and knowledgeable in their subjects. Most have M.Tech or Ph.D. degrees and good command of the core concepts. They explain topics clearly using both theoretical and practical approaches.
