The usual structure for counselling is three rounds, with a mop-up round in between. The primary round, called Round 1, is when seats are assigned to students with high ranks according to their preferences and seat availability.Round 2 is open to students who didn't participate in round 1 or who didn't get their desired seats. Based on student preferences and available seats, seats are filled. The third and final round is where any open seats are filled. Students who wish to upgrade their seats or who were not given a seat in an earlier round are welcome to take part.
