If there is a difference in your name or your fathers name or your mothers name or you age or your gender in your certificates then you can submit your affidavit to any officials. In Delhi University Admission also you can submit your affidavit then they can accept your mistake in your certificates. An affidavit would definitely do the work for you, get your affidavit ready before taking admission and it would not be any problem then. One more thing that you can do. At the time of taking admission you have to write an application stating the cause of error and you can apply for rectification of fathers name in twelfth result by making application to the board and later submit it to the college. Hope it helps. If you found it useful then upvote or thumbs up my answer. Good luck.
