Good experience in my college years it is filled with many opportunities and new learnings.
Placements: We have a placement cell in our college, and they organise the placement fair every academic year, bringing in many opportunities for the students to sit for interviews as per their choice. Other than this, they also organise many workshops and seminars for the students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure facilities have improved over the years. A new academic block has been established with various facilities. There are separate labs for psychology, computer, and geography in the college. The library is among the best, with newly updated books and good infrastructure.
Faculty: The professors are very well qualified and learned in their respective fields. They are friendly and open to discussions with the students. The curriculum is based on the new NEP policy, and the college offers lots of practical-based courses as well.
Other: The extracurricular opportunities are immense, with many societies offered for students to choose from as per their interests and choices.

A good crowd can make good friends and is good for your career as well.
Placements: Placement is not that good for this particular course. The placement cell mainly provides internships, but placements are not that good. However, it does have a name if you search for placement on your own and a good name of value.
Infrastructure: Facilities of water and washrooms are amazing. The washrooms are usually clean. Some classrooms are usually very small, students sit very congested, but the new building, which has been made recently, is really great. Wi-Fi doesn't work, nor can you access the network.
Faculty: Faculty is excellent. Teachers are really helpful and qualified and knowledgeable. Teachers have really great connections with media houses and support in everything. They are really kind. However, the curriculum is not at all relevant to the current scenario.

Absolutely satisfied with the faculty, placements, campus, infrastructure and overall facilities.
Placements: 40 percent of students got placed last year. The highest package is 32 LPA, the lowest is 5 LPA, and the average is 10 LPA, which is quite good tbh. Top recruiting companies are Times Now, NDTV, Hindustan Times, and News18 India. Somewhere around 40-50 percent of students got summer internships in companies like NDTV and Times Now, and some of them got into Doordarshan also. Top roles offered in my course are editor-in-chief and news presenter on national TV.
Infrastructure: Facilities are 10/10, every classroom is air-conditioned with a proper ventilation system. We have proper labs for every course, like a geo lab, media lab, computer lab, etc. Wi-Fi condition is really good, we have proper connection throughout the campus. Our college doesn't offer hostels, so you have to get personal PGs.
Faculty: Teachers are fabulous here. They are really helpful, kind, top in their fields, and very friendly. The course curriculum is very relevant and it makes students industry-ready by the end of this course. Semester exams are moderate to tough, but teaching quality is really good, so ultimately students pass with really good marks. Even I got 9 CGPA.
Other: I chose this course because I really wanted to do it, and the nicest thing about this course is the exposure you get to the real world. Remove the theory part totally and make it fully practical. Every single thing about the events, fest, crowd, connectivity, and ECA is top-notch.

College is not bad but not good. I am still enjoying it.
Placements: My course and batch have over 100 students. The highest package is 24.5 LPA, the average is 5.23 LPA, and the lowest is 4.90 LPA. Honestly, for courses besides commerce and journalism, internships and opportunities could be quite niche. Connections are still dynamic, and the placement cell is quite active. However, you still have to find a lot by yourself.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure in my college is quite average. The library is good, but there is no AC, and Wi-Fi doesn't work there. The computer lab is good, and the computers there work pretty well. Some classrooms are good, and some lack basic facilities like chairs. Honestly, it depends on what building you are in. The difference is big there. Journalism department is the biggest one, while the old building is, as suggested, old. A positive thing there is the extension of the new building now, which has AC classrooms. Canteen food, I would say, is the best. We have Nescafe and Amul cart. Food here will not disappoint you.
Faculty: I have met professors who are helpful, qualified and actually enjoy teaching, but I also met professors who make me question how they are even qualified for this. Course curriculum is relevant however, making students industry-ready is still questionable. Semester exams can be hard if you don't know how to stretch an answer with precise points. Passing SGPA is around 4-5.
Other: The best thing about my course is that philosophy, history, economics and psychology have their place in this course. The thing I want to improve is making the course dynamic however, with no unnecessary information. Fest in my college is honestly quite good. There is good food to eat and artists, though not that famous but still very enjoyable. Connectivity is there. You have to be yourself active for that. College societies are also very active with continuous participation.

College environment is so peaceful, stress-free, and away from the chaos.
Placements: For my course, B.A. Program, students go for higher studies or prepare for competitive exams. So there is no data available for placed students. The highest packages are offered in courses like B.Com, Economics, and Journalism. Students have to apply for internships through college societies or outside opportunities.
Infrastructure: KNC provides amazing infrastructure. It has a rich library, greenery, gardens, and eco-friendly classrooms made of bamboo. It has various food outlets that provide decent-quality food. KNC does not have its own hostel, so students stay in rooms or PGs.
Faculty: Faculty is extremely rich in terms of knowledge and expertise. Professors are supportive and check IA/CA on time. They provide genuine support and motivation. The curriculum is based on practical elements. Semester exams are moderate in level, and students pass because they are well-prepared.
Other: I opt for Political Science because it provides me with a foundation to prepare for law and government-level exams. More depth in the subject would help, along with reducing the number of subjects. KNC is rich in conducting various competitions and events.

A decent college with average placement and good infrastructure.
Placements: I don't know the exact figure, but I believe around 40-50% of students get placed every year. The average package offered to students is 5 to 6 LPA. The top recruiters are Deloitte, PwC, EY, Lenskart, Magicpin, College Vidya, etc. The roles offered to students are Marketing Intern, Business Operations Executive, etc.
Infrastructure: Earlier, the infrastructure was not good at all. But now they have built new washrooms and a new academic block. So, the infrastructure of the college is improving. We do not have a hostel in the college, so students from outside live in flats or PGs. The quality of food in the canteen is average. Sports facilities are good.
Faculty: Some teachers teach exceptionally well, while some are average. The curriculum of the B.Com program does not make students industry-ready. It is theory-based and not practical. The semester exams are not difficult. If you start studying 15 days before the exam, you can easily pass.
Other: I chose this course because I want to do something in the commerce field. I am interested in accounting and finance. The course should be more practical, and new subjects like AI should be introduced to make students industry-ready.

Q:   How will I be allocated a seat at DU via the CSAS allocation (CUET UG counselling process)?
6thumbs up
A:

For seat allocation at DU, students are required to lock their college and course preferences after the result is out. Delhi University will consider normalised scores provided by NTA to calculate the merit scores as per programme's eligibility. The highest possible preference will be provisionally allocated to the candidates considering the following points:

  • Course-Specific merit
  • Category of the students (UR/ OBC-NCL/ SC/ ST/ EWS/ Minority)
  • Seat Intake
  • Any other allocation rules, policies, or criteria citied by CSAS or University of Delhi
Q:   Do I have to submit dissertation in DU LLM programme?
A:

Yes, each student of LLM programme shall submit a dissertation carrying 200 marks as prescribed. The students shall submit the title with synopsis for dissertation for approval in the 5th semester on the specific data.
The supervisors shall be appointed by the specified data after successful defence of the synopsis by the candidate through an interview before the panel appointed by the LLM Committee.

Q:   What is the criteria for admission to MCom at DU?
A:

Delhi University MCom admission up until 2021 was offered in two categories: Direct Admission and Through Entrance Test. Also, along with the entrance exam, interview rounds were also conducted for admission to Delhi University PG programmes. There was no minimum age limit to take admission to the MSc programme offered by the university. However, DU PG admission 2022-23 was subject to a valid score in DUET as announced by the University.

Starting 2023, the admission process of DU for its postgraduate courses, such as MA, MSc and MCom will be subject to the CUET-PG exam conducted by NTA. After the results, qualified students will be required to appear for the seat allocation process conducted by the university for final seat allotment.

Q:   Do I need 60% in Class 12 to get admission in DU?
A:

DU is considered one of the most competitive universities in India for Commerce, Science and Arts education at the undergraduate level. The university and its affiliated colleges was attracting the cream layer of crowd till the time admission was subject to Class 12 scores. While reserved category candidates still had minor chances of getting into a not-so-popular course of DU with 60% in Class 12, a General category student with 60% had no chance of getting into any good college or course at DU.

However, starting 2022, DU admission process has shifted to CUET-UG based admission process. Those with a valid score in CUET UG exam who have passed their Class 12 are eligible to take admission now. While the chances of getting into a good DU college are still low at this score, the chances of getting a seat have increased now (provided you score extremely well in CUET UG).

Q:   Does Delhi University require Class 12 marks?
A:

While minimum Class 12 are required, DU admissions are not based on a candidate's Class 12 performance. Instead, CUET UG score is the main selection criteria at DU. The higher CUET score, the better chances at top DU colleges. Hence, applicants have to meet the minimum eligibility of 40%-60% depending on the programme.

Q:   How are DU BCom Hons Placements?
A:
