B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mathematics - Batch of 2026
Offered by Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi
3.6

Supportive crowd and good teachers, but placements and infrastructure are average.
Placements: Talking about my course first, I am currently studying a B.Sc. Honours in Mathematics and honesty, the placement scene for Maths students is not very strong. Only about ten to fifteen per cent of students actually get placed because companies usually prefer commerce or economics backgrounds. The highest package touches around five LPA, while the lowest stays near two LPA and the average hovers around three LPA. Internship options are slightly better, almost thirty percent of students get them, mostly in tutoring, edtech or basic office work.
Infrastructure: When it comes to infrastructure, the Maths department is okay but not perfect. Some classrooms have boards or projectors that don't work properly. The library does have good Maths books, but they get issues quickly. Wi-Fi is available only in a few spots. Hostel accommodation is limited, so most of us stay in nearby PGs. The canteen serves decent, affordable food, and the sports facilities are basic but manageable. The medical room handles normal, small issues.
Faculty: Speaking about the faculty, most teachers are really knowledgeable and explain concepts properly, though a few rush through lessons. The curriculum is definitely heavy and needs daily practice, but it helps a lot if you plan to go into research or do a master's. Exams are slightly tough, especially the core papers. Passing is okay if you study regularly, but getting high marks needs a lot of preparation.
Other: Talking about the campus environment, the crowd is mostly friendly, mostly girls, and everyone is quite supportive. Fests and events happen every year, and societies keep the campus active. Maths students also join NSS, debate, music, and other groups. Metro connectivity makes travel easy. I chose this course because I enjoy mathematics, but I feel the college should improve practical exposure and lab facilities for Maths students.

B.A. (Hons.) in Geography - Batch of 2027
Offered by Shivaji College, University of Delhi
3.8
4Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
My college has good infrastructure, and it has all kinds of good facilities.
Placements: 65% students are placed. The highest average package is 7.5 LPA, and the lowest average package is 1.2 LPA. Top recruiting companies for my course are Infosys, Deloitte, etc. 45-50% of students got internships from my course and mostly from the vice chancellor internship scheme (VICS), and others from the Summer Research Internship programme (SRIP). Data Analyst, Urbanists, GIS roles, research, environmental Science, etc., roles are offered.
Infrastructure: About college facilities, specifically the geography department facilities, they are almost good. Wi-Fi, better and longer classrooms with one digital cartography classroom and one geography computer-lab, and also the department has its own library. The college has one canteen and one cafeteria with an average size, and the food is also almost average (it depends on different tenders).
Faculty: Some of the faculty members of my course (Geography Department) are very helpful, qualified, supportive, and knowledgeable. According to the NEP 2020, there should be a change, something like we need to improve students' practical knowledge about geography, like practical use of remote sensing, QGIS, rather than only the theoretical part currently, which is lacking. If I were to rate the difficulty of semester exams, it would be 5 out of 10, which means questions in exams are very predictable, and one or two questions mostly repeat from the previous year's question paper.
Other: I chose this course (geography) because I want to work on data from many geographical areas. I want to analyse them using a DBMS, by using data visualisation using Python, retrieving geographical data using QGIS, in short, I want to become a data analyst. I wish things would be better/improved about my course, which is the study of the practical use of fundamentals of Remote sensing and QGIS in detail for industry-ready.

The infrastructure is average, but the college is good in sports.
Placements: Placements are very good. The highest package is up to 20 LPA, and the minimum is around 4–5 LPA. Major companies involved include Dell, Wipro, EY, Deloitte, Lenskart, Justdial, Amazon, ICICI Bank, Zomato, PwC, Accenture, Air India, Planet Shark, Axis Bank, My Captain, and NTT Data.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good, especially the library and canteen. Sports facilities are very good. Classrooms are spacious. Although hostels are not available on campus, students can take a PG or flat in nearby locations. The sports facilities are very good, provide students with vast opportunities.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. Various societies are available to enhance students’ skills. Teachers are engaging and professional experts in their fields. VAC and SEC also offer interesting courses like Python. Apart from academics, there are plenty of activities for students to take part in.

B.A. (Hons.) in History - Batch of 2027
Offered by Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, University of Delhi
3.6
3Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Faculty is good, no hostel, no auditorium, sports ground is good, and the infrastructure is good.
Placements: My course is history honours. As there is less placement in history honours, it can help in developing a good base in history. If we talk about internships, there are many internships offered by college, some of them are paid, and others are unpaid.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is good. The library, the classroom, everything is perfect. The college has a ground as well. However, ARSD does not have a hostel and auditorium, which is the only drawback. Canteen food is not that good, but average. Medical facilities are good. The college has a basketball court, a badminton court and a cricket pitch.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable as well, and teachers are way too good. My course is good, it will make our base strong for further pursuing a Master's in history. Semester exams are not that hard, the score is calculated on the basis of CGPA.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Botany - Batch of 2026
Offered by Hindu College, University of Delhi

The best college in Delhi University.
Placements: So basically, in botany hons, mostly students are approached by edutech companies like Vedantu, Pw. Multinational companies usually don't approach botany honors students due to obvious reasons. So, being very honest, this course is for those who want to pursue their career in the education field.
Infrastructure: Laboratories and classrooms are 10/10, fully air-conditioned classes with smart classes. The cleanliness is very good. About the infrastructure of Hindu College, it is 10/10. The campus is very beautiful and clean, the hostels are very neat and clean, and proper hygiene is maintained in the washrooms.
Faculty: The top faculty are hired at the Hindu College. Teachers are mostly very intellectual and very intelligent, having mostly graduated from top universities and colleges. Per year 2 semester exams are being held, and the level of exams is moderate, and 33 percent of marks is required to pass.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in botany, and regarding the improvement, the placement facilities in this course can be improved. And regarding the fest, Hindu College organizes the largest fest of DU MECCA.

Totally satisfied with the course and faculty. Infrastructure is one of the best on the South campus
Placements: Placement in my college varies depending on the course and the societies that you join. There are some useful ones like enso debsoc flick etc., they are very interactive and even beneficial for the resume. Some societies are not as beneficial as spilled ink, which is the poetry society. It's good if you have an interest in the poetry domain, but for the future, it's of no use.
Infrastructure: Hostel is not provided.
Faculty: Exams are not that tough, all the study material is regularly provided by the teachers, and they take extra classes whenever it is necessary. Also, help in sending the questions that are important from the exam point of view. Teachers often support and motivate the students during exam time and are also there if any student needs their personal guidance. The staff in my course is very friendly and response, I'm currently in 2nd year and by far the teachers that I have recieved are very understanding and humble. Students in my course are also very friendly. If not too bad.
Other: Political Science at Dyal Singh College is one of the most famous courses, along with history and geography honors. The majority of the students that I meet are from my course or history honours. A good number of seats were offered at the admission time, and these 3 courses, their faculty are very good, and they also hold seminars regularly to provide extra guidance and real-time experience by graduates from our college or people in the same field.
