Yes, there are many seats reserved in different courses which helps the students getting their admission in the college. There are swar reservations at shivaji College for certain categories of students. Thw following categories are eligible for seat reservation:- For SC/ST - 15 percent of the seats are reserved for students belonging to the scheduled caste and scheduled trible categories. For OBC:- 27 percent of the seats are reserved for students belonging to the other backward CV lasses, For EWC :- 10 percent seats are reserved.

There is no hostel facility provided by the college but there are large no. Of PGs available near the college campus which are quite affordable and good food. The average rate per person for a PG is 4000-5000 per month. And the pgs provided at this rate is very well maintained and are provided with all the basic facilities like electricity, water supply, Wi-Fi, and sometimes AC as well. Tiffin service is also available in the area.
