There are many colleges in DU, more than 70+ colleges. On the contrary JMI is a central university and it has no other branches and therefore your administrative works can be done in one go. But DU has many colleges and for administrative works you have to visit from one office to other office I. e college to DU offices. Not every colleges are good in infrastructure and library but you can get good infrastructure in JMI and air conditioned Libraries. It's campus is beautiful and well maintained. You can enjoy its variants canteen. Some DU colleges have also good infrastructure like library and canteen but it depends in which college and which course you get enrolled. I was the student of both Jmi and Du. I luckily get good canteen and library in both. But JMI campus is more spacious and beautiful because in DU we get enrolled in one college and it depends on college campus which varies from college to college. Study culture depends on your group whether you are in DU colleges or in JMI. If you want to be academicians then JMI is best as per my experience because the marking scheme of DU is lagging behind JMI and also in implementing policies where JMI works as one single unit so it's implementation of UGC guidelines is swiftly as compare to DU colleges. You can compare the marking scheme of Post graduation with Jmi where DU students lag behind JMI students. It is not about competency but about the official implementation dalay in DU due to many colleges work as one unit which take times. In which course you want to enroll just go through that department faculty and their academic records like their publication in International journals. And also if you have already study in one university than your choice should be other university but it also depends on course and colleges. Like if you are getting St. Stephen than there is no other option but you can also consider your accommodation and time travel then even you can reject St. Stephen. Ultimately it depends on person what s/he wants to be. Ex student of D-school & JMI.
