The course is a combination of two subjects- Biology and Technology. Broadly speaking, it brings together concepts of Biology and Engineering and aims at putting concepts of both these subjects together, in a bid to enrich our lives and make innovative developments. Some of the popular colleges other than DU ones are:

School of Life Sciences, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh
National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal, Haryana
Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, Maharashtra

On other hand, the biochemistry is a lucrative career option and once you complete your degree in biochemistry, you become eligible for a wide array of career options, such as the jobs of research analysts, lab technicians, microbiologists, clinical scientists and biotechnologists in industries like food and nutrition, healthcare, beauty industry, research sector and chemicals. BA in maths (Hons.) is essentially equivalent to Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree with a specialty in mathematics. Relatively, few institutions award Bachelor of Mathematics degrees, and the distinction between those, that do and those that award Page on B.Sc or BA degrees for mathematics is usually bureaucratic, rather than curriculum related. However, schools that offer Bachelor of Mathematics degrees argue for a separate degree, maintaining that the study of mathematics is vastly different from other fields.

Hi Pawan,
There is no compulsion as such when it comes to location of placement. However, you can communicate your preference to some companies regarding the location where you'd wish to work.
