I am sorry to say this but I don't believe you can. However, there is no harm in trying and if luck favors you, there might be some chance during spot round. You can also apply for information technology as your second choice.

If you don't belong to any reserved category, it might be difficult for you to get the mechanical stream. However, there is no harm in trying and if luck favours you, there might be some chance during spot round.

Chandigarh University is the better option, it has a great infrastructure and great faculty members. It has high class facilities full Wi-Fi campus. Moreover, it has wonderful placements, 400 companies visited campus this year.
