In order to be considered to issue a B.A. Arabic Language degree at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), an applicant will have to have divested successfully his or her 10+2 or other equivalent examinations, with at least 45 percent of the total marks. The main process of admission is to clear CUET UG (Common University Entrance Test - Undergraduate), that is, to choose Section IA - English Test and III - General Test. After the CUET results all candidates are required to apply to JNU using their respective own online portal. Admission is then done on the basis of a merit list formed by CUET scores including deprivation points, then it is done through counselling and verification of documents.

To get admission to M.A. in Arts and Aesthetics at JNU, candidates with a Bachelor's degree under 10+2+3 pattern of education with at least 50% marks are eligible to appear for the entrance examination. The admission is through an entrance examination. The School offers an integrated MA programme in Visual Studies, Cinema Studies, and Theatre and Performance Studies. Students of this programme are required to complete sixteen courses of four credits each over the course of the four semesters. Of these, eight courses must be taken among the ten compulsory courses on offer, and the other eight are to be selected from optional courses.
